Why There Will Be More Carlee Russells In The Future
August 7, 2023
When I look at the circumstances behind the Carlee Russell case, I can’t help but think that social media played a role in what happened. Specifically, Russell faked both the reporting of an abandoned child and as well faked her own kidnapping. Which, this resulted in a few days in mid July of this year – where the whole nation was captivated by the issues surrounding what may have been both Russell and the child’s demise. Then when Russell popped back into life so to speak – it was found that it was all a big hoax.
In the aftermath of the truth fully coming out – Russell has now been charged with two misdemeanors for making false statements to police. Because of the frustration surrounding the minimal charges Russell received – Hoover Police Department Chief Nicolas Derzis indicated by state law that was all Russell could be charged with. Nevertheless, Derzis also said he intended to push for enhancements to state law which address false reporting of kidnapping or other violent crimes.
Right now there is a dichotomy of Russell being the victim and her needing to be fully punished for what she did. At this point – my position about Russell is on the side of her being fully punished for what she did. But I digress – and again, the other side of that dichotomy is Russell needs our sympathy as she is the victim according to her family, boyfriend, etc. It must be noted here on the victim side of things that this is inclusive of her being a black female. An elephant in the room which could possibly stamp out Russell’s full punishment even if the laws supported such.
This gets me back to the role social media played in this debacle – specifically in the victim side of that dichotomy. It is clear to me that social media has resulted in a phenomena called “attention porn.” And it is also clear to me that when people who are addicted to attention porn can’t satisfy their cravings for attention – they wind up doing things like Russell did. What I’m getting at is social media platforms like TikTok, YT, Instagram, etc all are the gateway drugs when it comes to attention porn. In this case, the social media gateway drugs lead to the hard core drugs of a concocted story for the purpose of feeding that growing craving for attention.
It is that growing craving for attention that then becomes the reasoning behind my stance for pretty much throwing the book at Russell. By doing so – it would make others who are considering doing something like Russell did have serious second thoughts about considering executing a IRL concocted story. As well, this would cut down on the resources being diverted away from cases wherein people have been truly abducted or where children have truly been abandoned. Lastly, it would force people like Russell to fully be accountable for their actions no matter what race or sex they are.
Where I’ve Been…
July 20, 2023
Welp, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted here – the last time being before the pandemic – or plandemic for you conspiracy theorists. In any case, I’ve been doing streaming content for YT, Rumble, etc which has been reviving my video/audio creativity game. Since the type of content I’m doing streaming wise is somewhat sensitive to the degree that I get the shadow ban treatment – I’m not going to discuss the nature of that content here. As well, I would like to keep this blog and possible associated streaming side of things separate as much as possible. But as far as Dkoolgeek – I plan to continue with the type of content which has been previously posted on this blog.
I don’t know about anyone else, but the world I am now blogging in is fully different from the past world. In many ways it’s scary in a profound way. And as well, it’s stunning how rapidly the world has become drastically different since my last post in 2019. I mean, it’s almost like the type of thing which happens to a person if they take off into space at FTL speeds – only to return to an Earth that’s changed in every possible way. The world has drastically changed and I have drastically changed along with it.
Anyway, even though my streaming work requires a lot of writing/research for the purpose of scripting – I have been hankering to write blog wise again. Heck, I’m even considering writing a book or two to get published. We’ll see.
I plan to post about once or twice a month until I can get some other aspects of my current life sorted out – it is what it is. But nevertheless – I’m back…
College cheating scandal – my personal thoughts…
April 1, 2019
This is a post from my Facebook page concerning the college cheating scandal which recently occurred:
Regarding the elite college cheating scheme: I hope that both Felicity Huffman as well as Lori Loughlin get the book thrown at them in terms of fines and jail sentences. Here are my some of my reasons why:
I attended De Witt Clinton HS during which time I ran cross country track. The practices were long, hard and exhaustive as the cross country track team ran upwards of 30 to 50 miles in a day. This was on top of my studies which were also not easy fair. Back in the day, the SAT test was harder and more extensive than what it is today. Even still, I passed SAT with high scores on my own merit.
After graduating from Clinton, I attended The City College of New York. Unfortunately, within two years I flunked out. It is a long convoluted story as to why the aforementioned happened — so I’m not going to get into that now. But I was determined to get my degree so I managed to get back into CCNY and graduate within two years of the flunk out. BTW, if a student flunks out but manages to get back in — it is on average 6 to 8 years in terms of attaining a degree. I managed to attain my degree within four years inclusive of the two year flunk out and getting back in. Again, all on my own hard work and merit.
In my last days at CCNY, I decided to make a try for grad school. Again, back in the day, most grad schools required students to take the GRE (Graduate Record Exam) for consideration. Which, I did take the GRE and passed with high scores all on my own merit. However, the GRE was so hard that it literally fried my brains. To this day I can’t remember how I got to the test site and back home. I can’t remember if I took the Metro-North train or the express bus. All I remember vaguely is getting off the BX-41 bus, stumbling down the three blocks to my house and flopping into bed for 18 hours straight. I did go to grad school and now have my MA in communications.
I was not the best of the best — but I worked hard to get those degrees. I did not have parents who could pay someone to paste my face on another kid’s picture to prove they were interested in athletics. As well, my parents did not pay someone to alter SAT test scores so that I could get an easy pass into college. This cheating scheme is a slap in the face to every student who like me worked long and hard to get their degrees on their own merit.
Some additional thoughts: In the few weeks since the college cheating scandal hit the fan – the blame game has been in overdrive. Which, now the blame finger is being pointed at affirmative action. This, IMO, is despicable – and the blame for what happened needs to be laid at the feet of all who are responsible – the officials, parents and students who participated in this scam.
Also in the weeks since the crap has been on the fan – Lori Loughlin’s fellow “Fuller House” cast members have come out in full support of the embattled actress. While accepting an award for “Fuller House” at the 2019 Kid’s Choice Awards – cast mates Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andea Barber indirectly supported Loughlin by babbling on about family sticking together through tough times, blah, blah, blah. The aforementioned I call as hypocritical, mind vomit BS. This is because Loughlin didn’t have a lapse in judgement – she committed a crime with full awareness of what she was doing. That being said – my question to those stupid, twit pixies on “Fuller House” who support Loughlin – so y’all are saying you support her in any criminal act she commits? So if Loughlin was to put on a ski mask, run down to her local bank and rob it – y’all would support her in her actions – cause she’s family? That’s a bit idiotic, IMO. Just saying…
In any case, I stand by my assertions that Huffman, Loughlin and every other participant in this debacle should get stiff fines and slammer time. This is because there are thousands of students who played by the rules, who spent long hours studying, who trained hard as athletes thus causing them to pass SATs, get their degrees, scholarships on their own worthy merit. As well, the aforementioned did not have rich parents who paid off people to give their kids a leg up – rather these were parents who did everything they could to teach their kids to do right in a society which willingly accepts wrong over right. If anything, stiff fines and slammer time would send a strong message to those who so easily cheat when it comes to college. As well, there would be vindication for every student and parent who did the right thing.
I don’t think I’m being too hard on Huffman and Loughlin. You, however, may think that I should ease up off their backs – if so – leave a comment as to why.

Note 7 recall is not the big issue…
September 12, 2016
If you are a smartphone user of any type, you will most certainly be aware of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone which can explode. While the threat of the Note 7 exploding and causing anywhere from severe burns to one’s house being destroyed (or as in the case of one unfortunate victim – a car) is very real – I do think it is being blown out of proportion.
Don’t get me wrong, owner’s of the Note 7 should stop using this phone right away and return the device to Samsung ASAP. As well, I applaud Samsung for immediately stepping up to the plate by doing a recall as soon as they realized there was an issue with the device. And while the Apple camp is gleefully running around and cheering at the woes of Samsung – let’s be reminded that Apple has had it’s share of issues (exploding devices, etc) with it’s iPhone line. More importantly, Samsung did what Apple has never done – immediately tell the truth about issues with the Note 7 line. Given Apple’s historical reaction to issues with iPhones – an exploding iPhone would be due to user error. Or in other words, Apple would have taken the HAL9000 approach to issues, “Dave, these problems are due to human error…”
What I’m really getting at is the relative reaction proportion to the Note 7 recall in comparison to other recalls that are far more serious. Take for instance, the Takata airbag recall which is the largest recall in automotive history. By proportion, the Takata airbag recall affects far more people than the Note 7 recall ever will because it involves a great majority of cars that are on the road today. Chances are the car or truck you are driving right now is involved with the recall – I know the one I’m driving is. And while I did get a recall notice from Toyota about the airbags – as a Toyota dealership employee put it upon me asking when the airbags would be repaired – “who knows?” Thus far and unlike the 35 or so Note 7s that have exploded – faulty Takata airbags have killed and maimed drivers because of the shrapnel sprayed by the airbags.
Also unlike the Note 7 recall – the Takata airbag recall has been going on for years – both due to lack of government pressure to fix things, direct obfuscation by Takata management and finally, the auto industry itself. As well, there seems to be an inordinate lack of concern by auto owners about the issue. Again, those very same auto owners would be screaming bloody murder if it was their smartphone that was involved in a recall. Making the aforementioned something that I truly cannot understand.
Do you think that more pressure needs to be put on the auto industry and Takata to fix the airbag problems? Or do you think that it’s not much of an issue? Leave a comment.

Bye bye ITT Tech – it was nice knowing you – NOT…
August 31, 2016
By know you might be aware that ITT Tech, the for profit educational institute, is in deep trouble. I mean really deep trouble – similar to what the Titanic encountered when she hit that ice burg. Because like the captain of the Titanic getting the news that his ship was hopelessly doomed – so did ITT Tech in the form of government sanctions which prohibit the school from admitting students who use federal aid to pay for tuition. As a consequence, ITT Tech has abruptly stopped admitting students. Which, incidentally, no students means no income and eventual shutdown of the school. As well, no more “ITT Tech made me so successful,” late night TV commercials for you. Game over – man – game over.
While some of you may be incensed about my gleeful attitude concerning ITT Tech’s plight – I will say just bear with me through this blog. I do admit that ITT Tech may have helped some students to eventually become successful. And I do admit that some of the teachers and staff at ITT Tech genuinely cared about their students. However, the aforementioned does not in any way change my feelings about for profit schools like ITT Tech. Because educational institutes like this are complete shams whose sole purpose is to make big time money by ripping off students by providing shoddy education. In short, for profit institutes like ITT Tech give all legitimate educational institutes a bad reputation.
Again, some of you reading this blog may be thinking that I have no first hand experience concerning for profit schools – so what gives me the right to make an assessment like this? Because in actuality, I do have first hand experience. In the mid 80’s I was hired as an admissions rep at the now infamous Kee Business College AKA National Education Centers. To my naive mind, this seemed like the perfect job because as my trainers put it “it’s all about helping people get the best education possible.” I soon found out that it was all about greed and making money any way you could. Or in other words mo money, mo money, mo money…
The campus that I worked at was so poorly run, it was incredible. All of the staff underwent constant berating (sometimes daily) by the school’s director whose sole focus was making money. For admissions reps like me, it was all about quotas – which, if you did not meet your daily quota – there was hell to pay. This made for a work atmosphere where one was basically damned if you do – damned if you don’t. For instance, when I arrived at the school for work one Wednesday morning, I found that none of the admin staff had come in. From the director (who I think was on drugs) on down – no one was there. I was suddenly faced with teachers and students barraging me about getting the school opened for the day. When I mentioned to one of the teachers that I was just an admissions rep – her response to me was a pointed “YOU ARE NOW IN CHARGE!” So with my naive self, I took charge of the situation and got the school open. Not only did I get the school open, I gave directions to teachers, answered the phones, took admissions for other reps until one of the secretaries straggled in about 1 PM. Yet, for all my efforts, the only thing that I got from the director (who didn’t show up until the next day) was a screaming rant about not making my quota. Needless to say, I turned in my resignation about three months after that. So again mo money, mo money, mo money…
But I digress – and let’s get back to ITT Tech for some final thoughts: If you are considering education to better yourself – whether for career or otherwise – please seek out a reputable collage (2yr/4yr) or training institute instead of these jackals. Also do research on the educational institute you are considering and make sure things like course credits can transfer. In certain cases you may even be able to get the education or whatever certifications you are seeking for free or very low costs. Lastly, don’t be taken in by those hipster commercials from these educational scams.
In conclusion, I hope ITT Tech and other shams like it burn in hell because of all the damage that they have brought to the realm of education.
Update (09/06/16): ITT Tech has just announced that it is shutting down for good. Which, being the scam that it is – ITT Tech did exactly what I thought it was going to do – leave thousands of students and employees hanging like a missed ornament on a Christmas tree that’s on the garbage pile. In doing so, ITT Tech also played the victim card (it’s not our fault this happened, blah, blah, blah…) instead of accepting responsibility and blame for the sudden shutdown. SMH.
Do you think that I’m being too hard on ITT Tech and other for profit schools which are similar to it? Leave a comment.

It’s that bad…
April 23, 2015
It seems that almost weekly there is an account of someone dying or being severely injured at the hands of police. It has also been my growing contention that there are segments of law enforcement who are completely out of control when it comes to brutality. Indeed, there is a ever increasing sense that America the free is now America the police state. And in light of the aforementioned, the likelihood of you or I being killed over a simple infraction at the hands of police is now very high. Very high indeed.
Let me give you a scenario of how something so seemingly innocent can wind up getting you killed. This is the fictional account of little Sally Jeffers. Sally is only ten years old but she is well liked in the community she lives in. So it didn’t seem like Sally was doing anything wrong when one Saturday morning, she set up a lemonade stand in front of her house. Sally had made an agreement with her dad that she would use the funds to help pay for a new bike that she wanted. This was because her dad was trying to teach her how to be responsible. But what Sally and her dad didn’t realize that in setting up that innocent lemonade stand – Sally had broken the law – big time.
About two hours after she had set up the lemonade stand – Sally had already made $30 dollars. All seemed well until a young man with tattoos on his arms asked Sally a strange question. “Do you have a license for this lemonade stand?,” the man asked. Sally replied “No, why do I need one?” The young man then shouted “BUSTED!” Suddenly, sirens started to blare and from out of nowhere two MRAPs as well as a SWAT truck came speeding up to the lemonade stand. The doors on the SWAT truck flew open and several heavily armed SWAT officers poured out of the back of the truck. The officers quickly surrounded Sally while screaming “SALLY JEFFERS, YOU ARE UNDER ARREST – GET ON THE GROUND NOW!”
Instead of complying with the orders – Sally shrieked in bewilderment “WHAT DID I DO!?” The officers, however, continued yelling at Sally to get on the ground. At this point, Sally is so terrified that she both wets her pants and begins to run away. Sally is fortunate enough to make her escape through a small opening between two of the surrounding SWAT officers – but she doesn’t get too far before she is tased. Because of the thousands of volts now coursing through her body – Sally falls down in a limp pile of human flesh while screaming at the top of her lungs. As she writhes in pain on the ground, the officers continue to scream at her “YOU ARE UNDER ARREST – ASSUME THE POSITION!” But because of Sally’s non compliance – the SWAT officer who initially tased her then proceeds to fry her like a catfish. Fortunately for Sally her writhing causes the taser darts to come out of her body. Amazingly, Sally is able to get up and stagger towards the supposed relative safety of her home. She manages to get midway to the front door of her house before her head explodes in thousands of pieces. A SWAT sniper – who was hiding in the bushes next door to Sally’s house – had took her out with one shot from his high powered rifle. Someone in the group of SWAT officers gleefully yells “GOOD KILL!,” to the sniper.
Before you leave comments on this blog about “that’s crazy” or “that can’t happen” – the fact remains that something like the aforementioned can and will happen if the level of police brutality in this country continues to grow unchecked. Already there have been reports all around this country of draconian measures being taken on kids because of them running lemonade stands. As stated in the beginning of this post – there are reports of police brutality occurring on a weekly basis. While some of the incidents involve major crimes – others are occurring over minor infractions such as jay walking.
Finally, I will end this post with two post scripts: The first is for the “no need to worry if you don’t do something wrong,” or “what are you going to do if there are no police?,” crowd. The point of this blog is not to condemn all police – because there are some good ones still out there. It is also not my contention that we don’t need law enforcement because we do. What I am getting at is the type of tactics being used on both law abiding citizens as well as those who commit minor infractions which is again out of control. In short, there is no need for someone to be gunned down and killed for something as simple as a broken tail light. As well, if you have that “no worries cause I haven’t done anything wrong,” attitude – chances are you’ve already broken some obscure law. Don’t think so? Just try accepting cash at your next yard sale in Louisiana and see what happens to you.
The second post script is to those who have been gleefully cheering “good kill” at the death of Walter Scott (a black man) who was gunned down by a white police officer a few weeks back. Just remember this, no matter what the race – no one – no one – deserves to be gunned down in the manner that Mr. Scott was. Remember also that no matter what the race – Sally Jeffers could be your daughter now laying in your front yard with her head blown off.
Do you think that the police brutality problem is overblown in this country? Leave a comment.

Six Walmart stores closing due to plumbing problems? Really?
April 14, 2015
So far this year has had some whopper sized, “give me a break” lies. Take for instance, Hillary Clinton and that personal email server. Or Creflo Dollar and his 64 million dollar luxury jet. Now it’s Walmart suddenly closing six super center stores due to plumbing problems.
Each of the aforementioned cases would be laughable if they were just a casual April fool’s joke or something. But they are not. In Hillary’s case, she lied about giving over the contents of the server to the government. Instead Hillary wiped the hard drives of the server so that no one can have access to the data therein. Some are saying this is just an innocent mistake – but others are saying it’s all an effort to do CYA.
In Creflo’s case, he lied about wanting a new luxury jet for ministry – err – private use. This is because when the fires of social media backlash came licking at Creflo’s door, he lied about the plane being for private use. The plane, a Gulf Stream 650, was to be used to carry tons (100,000 pounds or so) of food to impoverished areas of the world. The only problem is that a Gulf Stream 650 can’t carry that amount of cargo – cause it wouldn’t be able to take off.
Now we come to Walmart which suddenly closed six stores yesterday evening, 04/14/15, due to plumbing problems. Even worse is that the affected stores will be closed for about six months due to the issues. Really? Forgive me if I call bravo sierra on this. I mean really? You mean to tell me that a multi billion dollar corporation is going to allow six stores to close down for six months due to plumbing issues? Really? Nope, not buying that for one moment. I have worked for companies ranging from small stores to multi billion dollar corporations. None of the aforementioned closed stores or facilities when they had to repair or install infrastructure of any type. They just kept on going, business as usual, until the work was completed. Any employees or customers who complained were told to just suck up.
This all leads me to the question – what else is going on at Walmart? Put it this way, in the two other cases I cited before Walmart, it’s pretty clear as to the reason why the lie happened. In Hillary’s case, it’s obvious that she doesn’t want the truth about issues like Benghazi to come out. In Creflo’s case, he wants members of his church to keep him in high flying luxury. But Walmart, it’s not so obvious as to what’s going on. It could be anything from deep financial trouble at Wally World to the ultra high, ultra black conspiracy theories floating around the Net lately. One can only speculate at this point. However, one thing is for sure – Walmart is lying about what is truly going on.
Do you think Walmart is lying about what is truly going on? Leave a comment.

Hey Gwyneth, please sit down and shut up! Please!
April 12, 2015
In her latest attempt to prove that she can understand the plight of most poor folks – Gwyneth Paltrow is living off of food stamps for one week. But as she has done before, Gwyneth has come up with another embarrassing epic fail.
For starters, Gwyneth chose food items which would do better as a dietary detox rather than providing sustenance for a family trying to make it off of $29.00 a week. This is proof that she is relatively clueless to living on a budget that small because she is rich. As well, Gwyneth’s food stamp experience will only last for a week – after which she will return to her former lifestyle. For those who are desperately poor – their experience will remain the same as they have no rich lifestyle to return to.
To be clear, I have no problem with being rich and not having to live on food stamps. I do have a problem with rich people like Gwyneth who do condescending stunts like this because they are both disturbing and clueless. Which, this is not her first gaff like this. Gwyneth has recently said that she has a tougher experience and works harder than most working mothers do. Really!? I don’t think so.
When a person (like Gwyneth) is clueless to another person’s plight – they cannot comprehend nor effectively comment on what’s truly going on. That brings me back to my premise that Gwyneth needs to just shut up.
Do you think that I’m being too hard on Gwyneth? Leave a comment.

It’s time for the Kardashians to go away!
November 13, 2014
Yesterday, I found myself in Kardashian hell. Yup, everywhere I looked there was that pix of Kim K. and that butt. On TV, on Facebook, Google +, Twitter, etc and everywhere. And it was not just Kim K. – it was also Khloe K. with her insipid “the only KKK to ever let Black men in” comment.
I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve just about had it with the Kardashian twits. IMO, they are the worst bunch of non talented, insignificant idiots who don’t deserve the legitimate spotlight of attention. In other words they are those moldy loaves of bread that you need to throw out cause they stink.
If you’re caught up with keeping up with the Kardashians – then let me give you one bit of advice: STOP IT – STOP IT RIGHT NOW! Get up and go get a life – cause the Kardashians aren’t worth the time of day.
Do you think I’m being to hard on Kim and Khloe K? Leave a comment.
People need to get fired…
October 16, 2014
Unless you’ve been living in an alternate dimension – you are aware of the Ebola nightmare that has fallen upon the United States. If you are a bit scared – you have a right to be scared – but you should also be angry.
The reasons why you should be angry are because we as a nation are dealing with officials from the CDC who have dropped the ball. From the get go – the CDC (Centers for Disease Confusion – lol) have bungled this whole Ebola issue. Furthermore, they have done nothing to assure the public that they can do anything about it.
As you are reading this blog right now – patient zero, Thomas Eric Duncan is now dead and two of the health care workers who treated him have come down with symptoms of the disease. What’s even worse hundreds of people across this country are now potential victims of Ebola. Which, all of this can be directly attributable to the pure incompetence of the CDC.
If the CDC was not incompetent – before Duncan’s death, they would have mitigated this whole Ebola issue by advising strongly that all flights from affected areas of Africa be banned at least temporarily. They would have immediately ensured that health care workers at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital received proper procedures and equipment to care for Duncan. Finally, they would have ensured that all health care workers who came in contact with Duncan came under mandatory quarantine. Yet, to date, none of this has happened – only confusion and misinformation from the CDC. And as a consequence, our whole nation is under threat from a disease that has a 50% or higher mortality rate.
With that being said, the head of the CDC, Dr. Tom Frieden, should be fired immediately and replaced with someone who can handle this emergency properly. The CDC itself needs to be restructured so that all incompetent workers are removed from this organization. This action needs to happen NOW as the citizens of the United States deserve better than what they are currently getting from the CDC.
While I’m at it – there are others who should be on the you’re fired list. For instance, “just get your damned vaccine,” Dr. Nancy Synderman should be fired by NBC. Why? This is because Synderman, NBC’s chief medical editor, forced the state of New Jersey to put her and the TV crew she worked with under a mandatory quarantine. Why? Because Synderman (who had traveled to Ebola infested countries) broke an agreement to stay isolated for three weeks for some take out food. And of course, the CDC, in all it’s incompetence stated that Synderman did not put the public in any danger by her actions – yeah right.
Finally, the health care workers at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital who decided to not admit Duncan on the initial visit – even when he stated the obvious about having Ebola – should be fired. Why? Because it took a second trip and frantic calls from Duncan’s family to get him admitted. By the time of the second trip — Duncan had exhibited heavy bouts of diarrhea and had vomited profusely. Also again, the CDC dropped the ball because Duncan’s apartment was not properly quarantined until days later. Even worse, workers with no personal protection equipment used a pressure washer to clean up Duncan’s vomit which was on the outside of the apartment building where he lived. Wow!
So again, you shoud be concerned and you should also be angry – because the people who should be doing the right thing about Ebola are failing in manner that is epic…
Do you think I’m being too harsh on the CDC, Frieden, Synderman and etc? Leave a comment.
